About Ultimate FPL

Ultimate FPL is a read-only helper for Fantasy Premier League. I built it myself and it has grown a lot since. It looks at your team, works out how many points each player is likely to score, and suggests transfers, captains and chips.

What we do and don't do

  • Read-only. We read public FPL pages. We never log in to your account, never ask for your password and can't make a transfer, set a captain or play a chip. You do all of that in the official game.
  • Projections are estimates. xP is expected points: the average over many imaginary repeats of a match. Any single week will differ. The typical miss on one player in one match is about 2.1 points, even when the average is right.
  • Plans are suggestions. Our transfer and chip planner looks for the highest total expected points over the next few gameweeks, within FPL's rules. It doesn't know about news that hasn't reached the official feed, rotation, or your own hunches.
  • AI text is optional. When AI is switched on, a language model writes the briefing and can only quote numbers returned by our own tools. We check each figure before it's shown. When AI is off, you get a plain template and nothing else changes.

Where the data comes from

  • This season's players, fixtures, prices, teams and each manager's picks, transfers and history come from the public, unofficial Fantasy Premier League web API. We call it at a low request rate with a descriptive User-Agent.
  • We test the model on past seasons using the community dataset vaastav/Fantasy-Premier-League (MIT licence; the underlying data belongs to the Premier League and Understat).
  • The public FPL data was last refreshed 12 Oct 2026 17:00 UTC. The model version is xp-0.3.

What we keep about you

We keep your email address, a hashed password and the FPL team ID you gave us (your account), plus the public data already on the FPL site for that team. We never ask for your FPL password or log in to your FPL account. You can change your team ID or delete your account on the Account page. Deleting removes your email and password straight away, and we clear the public team data when it goes unused. You must be 18 or over. Nothing identifying goes to the AI service: rival managers are called "Rival A", "Rival B" and so on, and we hold back the name of your mini-league.

Not affiliated

We're an unofficial fan project, not part of the Premier League or FPL. We're not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to the Premier League, Fantasy Premier League or any club. FPL's terms restrict automated access to the game, which is why we stay small and read-only. Opening up more widely would need the owners' permission or a licensed data source.

Takedown or privacy requests. There's no public contact address yet. I'll add one here before this opens up more widely, with a promise to answer takedown and privacy requests.
